The weather turned rainy and yucky this morning, but before it came, the amazing workers were able to finish the roof, wrap the tar paper on it, and finish wrapping the garage with white plastic. They then were inside the house working on studding the area for the fireplace, which looks huge!
I want to give a special kudos to the three guys who have framed the house in such a short time. They are working from 7 am until 5 pm and also worked last Saturday (on the hot days, the young ones are even shirtless, yum!). All of them are very friendly and patient, answering my stupid questions and smiling at the boys if they are along with me. Jeff and I both keep dropping by throughout the day to take pictures or videos and they are always focused and hard at work. If you ever decide to build a house, make sure Rentmeester's are the framers!
Tomorrow morning at 7 am, we are meeting with the electrician (happy 1st day of summer vacation), then other house errands including picking out the countertops. Oh yes, also back into work to continue the clean up and the preparation for summer library.
There arent't enough pictures for a slideshow today. The boys were in the van waiting and the guys were cleaning up for the day and I didn't want to get in their way. They were even sweeping the floors, even though they are still only plywood!
